Who am I?

Hi! My name is Deanna. I’m here to witness your tears, emotions, fears, worry, heartbreak and profound grief. I am ready to assist you in transmuting those emotions into empowerment and peace. I often attract clients who are ready to transcend into their authentic selves to find their empowered creator cause in life. I frequently work with people who identify as Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), Empaths, Artists or Creatives. I recognize that there are diverse ways we experience the world and that we don’t all perceive reality the same way. You are safe to tell me how you experience yours.

I am a graduate of the Counselling Skills Program from the Orca Institute in British Columbia and a member of the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT) and the Association of Counselling Therapists of Alberta (ACTA). This allows me to work as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC).

I have an extensive background and training in Hypnotherapy that started back in 2017 when I completed the National Guild of Hypnotherapists (NGH) training and Michael Newton’s Metaphysical and Energy Releasement Hypnosis. Currently, I am finishing up the Counselling Hypnotherapy Program at the Orca Institute in British Columbia, which focuses on the indirect methods of Dr. Milton Hyland Erickson.

I’ve worked as a professional artist since 2005 when I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Mount Allison University but, always knew my path involved using the arts, visions and creativity in therapeutic settings. In 2008, I completed a Bachelor of Education in Art and Music Education and still visit schools part-time to lead students in Mindful Guided Art. In 2019 I completed a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of New Brunswick (Psychology and Fine Art) where I delivered my thesis titled “Connecting Crossmodal Interactions in Visual Music to Create ‘Mindful’ Experiences.”
